What Wondrous Love is This? (2026)
Premiered by the California Lutheran University Choir in March of 2026, this new choral arrangement of the classic American hymn What Wondrous Love is This? blends classic hymnody with an exciting, rhythmic basis that propels throughout the piece. Pulling the tune from southern harmony and the original, extended text from the cluster of spiritual songs, Soren's arrangement is authentic to the original text while exploring new musical ideas through a repeated exclamation of "Oh, my soul!"
A setting of Psalm 119 in Spanish for SSAA a capella. Simple but memorable, with tender melodies and powerful moments. Premiered March 24th 2023 by the California Lutheran Choir with conductor Wyant Morton. You can also listen to a recording of Te Alabaré, captured on the California Lutheran University Choir 2024 international tour at the Church of the Holy Savior in Prague.
